Below, we've answered some of the questions we hear most frequently in hopes of helping to educate and inform patients on their dental decisions. If you have a question you don't see here, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to help you get the answers you seek!

Sedation Dentistry

Visits to the dentist are often associated with pain, but this is usually not the case. At Gallery Park Dental, we prioritize the comfort of our patients. We use local anesthetics to numb the area being worked on and give a topical anesthetic beforehand to minimize the discomfort of the injections. We do our best to ensure each patient is properly numb before we begin work, but patients are encouraged to notify us if they feel pain or discomfort at any point in their dental treatment.

We also offer in-office amenities such as pillows and blankets to make patients more comfortable. Each dental operatory has windows and televisions to create a comfortable environment during their treatment, and patients are welcome to listen to music to put them at ease as well. We have a complimentary beverage station including bottled water and coffee and surround sound audio in the hallways and reception area of our Glenview dental office to help patients relax before they begin treatment.

Sedation Dentistry Options in Glenview

For patients who suffer from dental anxiety, we also offer various methods of general sedation, including nitrous oxide gas, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation to help put them at ease. With local anesthetics and general sedation, even the most pain-phobic patient can have a pain-free, low-stress dental experience.

This is a complex question with many different answers. Every insurance plan is unique in the benefits they provide. If you have questions about your specific insurance policy or the coverage they provide, contacting your insurance provider is a good first step.
